Evaluations for Immigration Cases
At Maryam Yasmin Therapy & Consulting, evaluations for immigration cases are done differently and done right. I take a culturally-responsive, trauma-informed approach that centers the needs of each client and their case. Here’s what you can expect from me throughout the process.
-
Step 1: Getting Started
Maybe you found me online or your attorney referred you to me. I maintain open communication with all clients. From start to finish, you will receive unlimited text and call support to answer questions and concerns. The process is confusing and I’m committed to making it understandable. Just give me a call and we’ll get started.
-
Step 2: The Interview
2-4 hours of face-to-face, virtual interviewing with live interpretation provided for you if needed. Most evaluators spend about 75 minutes interviewing and make clients arrange interpretation for themselves. You’re going through enough as it is, you deserve an evaluator who cares about getting accurate information so your evaluation is on point.
-
Step 3: The Report
After the interview, I will spend time meticulously reviewing your culturally-focused psychometric tests (that you take in your native language) in addition to the information gathered in the interview. You and your attorney will receive a comprehensive report of 10-20 pages for your case. Expect a reference list from peer-reviewed research journals backing up my recommendations for your case.
